Guided surgery
computer-assisted implantology
In our practice, we work with special implantological issues with computer-assisted navigation systems. The guided surgery concept is based first on the imaging of digital volume tomography, and second on special computer programs which provide us with 3D models of the teeth and jaw situation.
We are thus able to display three-dimensional images of the implantation site prior to surgery and to plan the implants virtually in advance.
From this information, drilling templates are made with stereolithography (3D printing), which are very precisely transferred to the jaw digitally using the computer planned position. This comprehensive preparatory work reduces the length of surgery and optimises the safety of the procedure.
