How has our sphere changed?
The map shows the frequency atopcal to conditioned allergies (inclination to type I – immediate allergy) in Europe. The further one comes to the area with a high and modern standard of living, the higher the allergy rate becomes in the population – above all countries with western life style are concerned.
A similarly menacing development arises if one looks in the past. Here allergies played no role – today this looks different:
1926: 1% 1991: 15%
1958: 5% 2000: 23%
1985: 10% 2006: 26%
