An epidemic of the modern age?
The possibilities of the modern medicineare progressed incredibly far: we become older and older and some decades ago still deadly infectionillnesses have almost become extinct.
Nevertheless, in the same period the chronicallyinflammatory illnesses, allergies or auto immuneillnesses have alarmingly increased. Not free of chargeone already speaks of “silentinflamation”, or ofthe „epidemic of themodern age“. Therapy attemptslimitt hemselves basically to the relief of the symptomsnot on the removal of thecauses, because they areknown notenough or do not attract enough attention.
