White Dentistry - Ceramic implants

Ceramics - the future in implantology
Due to their excellent biocompatibility, ceramic implants are the closest thing to a natural tooth. The zirconium dioxide material is 100% metal-free and is perfectly integrated by the body. According to the latest studies, the possibility of bio-corrosion as with titanium implants is also ruled out.
Above all, ceramic implants also meet all requirements in terms of aesthetics. The white color of the ceramic prevents the gray shimmering through the gums that sometimes occurs with titanium implants. Inflammation around the implant (peri-implantitis) is significantly reduced and is also not described in the literature. The reasons for this are the low accumulation of bacteria and a blood flow around the implant that corresponds to that of the natural tooth.
Due to the rapid technological development, fractures, which were sometimes observed in the early days of ceramic implantology, no longer play a clinical role with modern high-performance ceramics. After 5 years of observation, the success rates are now on a par with titanium implants with an average of 97%.
In combination with all-ceramic crowns, teeth can be replaced completely metal-free and in a fixed position!

Today, ceramic implants are on a par with titanium implants and are therefore a long-term safe and biologically ideal treatment option in our practice.
