Treatment under general anesthesia!
For many patients with extreme anxiety, the anesthetic is a blessing. You sleep relaxed, and we can perform a dental and technically optimal treatment.
After treatment, wake up slowly from the anesthetic. Painkillers, which you still receive during anesthesia, largely prevent pain and swelling. After one or two anesthetic appointments, dental treatment is usually concluded. Fortunately, subsequent follow-up appointments are in almost all cases possible without any great effort for you.
Usually one or two anesthetic appointments are necessary. A precise planning and perfect interaction between anesthetist, dentist and technician are a prerequisite for these dates.
The anesthesia is performed in our team by of an experienced anesthesiologist according to the latest medical findings and the highest safety standards. The duration of anesthesia can be easily extended to several hours, so that the patient can significantly reduce the number of dental visits also for lengthy and expensive treatments.
The risk of anesthesia in healthy patients is very low nowadays. This is due to the development of new anesthetics that guarantee better patient tolerance, rapid elimination from the organism and fewer side effects.
A residual risk remains, however … this is also the reason why we offer anesthetic only for selected patients at the special request. Also the costs are mostly not covered by health insurance firms for dental work.
