Bleaching

Brilliant white teeth in just one hour!

Teeth must not only be healthy, but also beautiful in today's society...!

The magic word is "bleaching". Bleaching is the English term for whitening and the advertising promises a radiant white smile for many years...and this time they are right!

Today, white, shiny teeth are synonymous with health and success. Unfortunately, teeth do not always remain as beautiful and bright as they were in childhood.

Teeth are also subject to a natural ageing process. The enamel becomes thinner over the years and the darker inner layers of the tooth become more prominent. Color pigments from nicotine, red wine, coffee or tea also accumulate in the enamel over the years and stain the teeth yellow.

In our practice, we therefore offer two harmless and gentle procedures that lead to permanent whitening of the teeth... within 1 hour as power bleaching in the practice or during a week at your home.

How it works

In our practice, we mainly use "in-office" or "power whitening". The whitening process is completed after around 1 hour. Alternatively, "home bleaching" can also be used. In this case, a transparent plastic tray is made as a carrier for the bleaching material, which is worn overnight for one to two weeks.

This method uses a light activation system that operates in the blue-green wavelength spectrum. This light emits very little heat and no dangerous UV rays. Combined with our low-dose hydrogen peroxide gel (between 15% and 30% ), this method is one of the safest treatments available in dentistry.

The gel is applied to the teeth, irradiated with the special bleaching UV lamp and after just
1 hour the teeth are up to 3-4 shades lighter!

...and that for 2-3 years!

Results

Age hardly plays a role in bleaching either!

Why shouldn't you treat yourself to the luxury of beautiful teeth at 70? However, as old fillings and dental crowns cannot be whitened, they should be replaced after whitening - if present - and matched to the new tooth color.

Bleaching: only with the dentist!
Experts at Zurich University Hospital warn against using bleaching products from pharmacies and drugstores without professional advice. Consumers often do not achieve the desired result with self-treatment and may even damage tooth enamel and gums

Choosing the right whitening method and applying it correctly are crucial for success!
