Digital volume tomogram
three-dimensional X-ray
Our digital volume tomography (DVT) is a new method for the 3D display of bone structures. Particularly important in our practice: our special DVT works with a fraction of the radiation exposure of conventional DVT systems and even computerised tomography (CT). Of course, we also make the previous two-dimensional digital version with substantially less radiation.
Digital volume tomography provides us – and thus you – with new 3-dimensional technology that has revolutionised diagnoses for jaws and teeth. In addition to the common indications for 3D diagnostics such as tumours, cysts, and fractures, surgical procedures can now be planned more safely and easily.
We are especially increasingly using digital volume tomography for implantology in order to evaluate jawbone and establish the implant position before operating. Due to the high-quality three-dimensional images, minimally invasive techniques are possible and the success of their treatment ensures computer-navigated implantology.
This means for you the highest picture quality with lowest radiation exposure
